Rally is a private, invite-only space for real-world communities to share photos and videos and celebrate together. We built Rally with privacy as the default — this policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
- Account information: your name and email address, and a profile photo if you upload one. We authenticate you through Google sign-in, so we never see your Google password.
- Content you post: the photos, videos, captions, and comments you share inside a Rally. Media is stored in private storage that only members of that Rally can access.
- Usage data: basic device and activity information (such as which Rally you belong to and when you last opened the app) to keep the service running and to surface notifications.
2. How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account and profile.
- To show Moments, comments, and reactions to the other members of the Rallies you belong to.
- To send you notifications about activity in your Rallies.
- To keep the platform safe — including reviewing reported content and enforcing community standards.
- To improve performance and reliability. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to show you ads from third parties.
3. Who can see your content
Rally is invite-only. Your Moments, comments, and profile are visible to the members of the Rallies you have joined, and to Rally administrators acting on reports or to keep the platform safe. Content is never made public to the open internet unless a member of your Rally chooses to share it outside the app.
4. Media and consent
Photos and videos are stored privately and are only accessible to Rally members. When an athlete (for example, a child) is tagged in a Moment, the responsible adult who posted it is expected to have consent. You can request removal of any Moment that features you or your child by using the report control on that Moment or by contacting us at the address below.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your profile; deletion removes your profile, your posts, and your membership in each Rally. Some records (such as reports under review) may be retained briefly to complete an investigation.
6. Sharing with others
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only: (a) with members of your Rally as described above; (b) with service providers who help us run Rally (such as hosting and storage), under contracts that limit how they use it; or (c) when required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
7. Your choices
- You can edit your profile or leave a Rally at any time.
- You can turn off notifications from your device settings.
- You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by contacting us below.
- You can report any Moment, comment, or member that concerns you.
8. Children and families
Rally is designed for families and communities, including teams with young athletes. Adults are responsible for the content they post about minors, and we rely on the posting member to have the necessary consent. If you believe we have posted content of a minor without consent, please report it and we will remove it.
9. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, private storage buckets, and access controls scoped to Rally membership. No service is perfectly secure, but we work to keep Rally safe and to act quickly if a problem is reported.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date above and notify you in the app. Continued use of Rally after a change means you accept the updated policy.
